So I just bought a house!!!!!!
It's a rowhome in Fell's Point (cool shops and neat neighborhood) in Baltimore and within walking distance to the neighborhood of Canton (great bar area with a mall htat has localally owned shops) too.
And it has a backyard with a lilac bush instead of a backpad. Backpad = equals a small slab of concrete.
House Stats
built in 1900
3 story with a brick exterior (no yucky looking formstone!)
1,200 square foot lot (big for the city and our price range)
about 14 foot wide (that's a good thing)
2 bedrooms - One will be a computer lab and the master takes up the entire third floor)
1 & 1/2 baths
3 wood burning fireplaces
1 spiral staircase
kitchen, dining room, living room.
hardwood on the first floor and carpet on the other two levels.
The crawlspace was waterproofed and the central a/c was replaced in 2004 with a five year warranty.
A construction worker used to own it and he fixed the place up really nice.
It is just a cool looking place. I need to take more picts. Our home inspection is on May 6th so I'll take pictures then. In the meantime Steve took a few pictures when we were thinking about buying it.

feeling clingy
So Steve's been chillin' in Canada for the past week. I'm cool with that - he was getting his geek on computer-style. Problem is I had a horrid week at work, one of those weeks where planning time translated out to ball up in frustration behind the desk I never use. I was fine with him being gone when I dealt with a stupid co-worker brerating me cause she can't get herself together to do her job. I was fine when a desk was kicked over five times this week. I was fine when 8 = the number of chairs kicked over or thrown this week. I was fine when we had indoor recess in our room 3 days in a row. I was also fine when I came home to a empty and lonely apartment.
Now I used to wonder why Steve got all "I miss you so much" when I'd move the only 2 hours to h-town in the summers. He just called to say his flight isn't coming in tonight as planned and he'll be here tomorrow at noon. Then I was not fine. I missed him. He needed to come home.
I wonder when I got so used to having Steve around every moment that not seeing him for 8 days feels like forever. How's it going to be when I'm old and really used to him being here and he up and dies? Just a thought. I'm cool now.

"Mommy......" I hear that directed at me waayy too many times. I was called mommy FIVE times on Friday. Honestly, you have been in school for 7 months. I do not look like your mother. I don't respond to mommy. I am not a mother. I'm sure everyone knows this.
So I get called mommy by my students. I'm not sure what this says for thier intelligence but when I worked at Migrant Headstart not a single one of those children confused me with thier mother. It was always "Teacher Faith" or "Miss".
had to get that out.
My ears are now at my goal of 4g. Hooray!! I think Steve and I are getting a realtor this weekend. We are planning to buy in Baltimore. Even though street lights thiefs abound. 135 this past year. There are now 5 very expensive solar-powered lights that will yell at you big brother style.
